- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup shredded Gouda cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine pumpkin puree, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Step 3: Spread the pumpkin mixture evenly over the pizza crust, leaving a small border.
- Step 4: Sprinkle the shredded Gouda cheese over the pumpkin mixture.
- Step 5: Sprinkle chopped fresh sage over the pizza.
- Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Leftover pizza slices can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, pop a slice in a skillet over medium heat for a crispy crust, or microwave for a quicker option, though it may be softer.
- A drizzle of balsamic glaze after baking adds a tangy sweetness that complements the savory flavors.
- For a deeper flavor, try roasting the garlic cloves before mincing and adding them to the pumpkin puree.
