Delicious apple cobbler recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with cinnamon.
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Step 3: Add the milk to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Step 4: Pour the melted butter into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Then, pour the batter over the melted butter.
  5. Step 5: Spoon the apple mixture evenly over the batter.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover apple cobbler in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 3 days.
  • For a warm, gooey treat, reheat individual portions in the microwave for 30-60 seconds or in a 350°F oven until heated through.
  • Serve warm apple cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a truly decadent dessert.
  • To prevent a soggy bottom, make sure the melted butter completely coats the bottom of the baking dish before adding the batter.
