Creamy Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs melts perfectly onto flaky salmon, creating a restaurant-quality meal in minutes. This baked luxury is easy! Full instructions and nutritional facts included.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 (5.2-ounce) container Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly drizzle the surface with a small amount of the olive oil.
  2. Step 2: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub the fillets all over with the remaining olive oil, then season generously with salt and pepper. Place the prepared fillets, spaced apart, on the baking sheet.
  3. Step 3: In a small bowl, combine the Boursin cheese, lemon zest, and half of the chopped dill. Gently scoop and spread a thick, even layer of the Boursin mixture over the top of each salmon fillet.
  4. Step 4: Bake the salmon for 12 to 18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, or until the cheese is lightly golden and bubbly and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Step 5: Remove the baked Boursin salmon from the oven. Garnish immediately with the remaining fresh dill and serve hot.

Notes

  • Store any leftover baked salmon tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; the flavor is best within the first 24 hours.
  • For best results, gently reheat leftovers in an oven or air fryer at 300°F (150°C) until warmed through, avoiding the microwave which can dry out the fish.
  • Serve this rich dish alongside simple roasted asparagus or a light lemon rice pilaf to balance the creamy garlic and herb flavor.
  • Pat the salmon extremely dry before seasoning; this crucial step ensures the Boursin mixture adheres perfectly and promotes better overall crisping of the fillet edges.
