- 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup hot fudge topping (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and milk. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Step 3: Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Arrange the sliced bananas evenly over the batter. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
- Step 4: Pour the remaining batter over the bananas and toppings. Spread evenly.
- Step 5: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 6: Let the cake cool slightly before drizzling with hot fudge (optional) and serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
