Ingredients
- Large flour tortillas (4)
- Thick-cut turkey bacon (8 slices)
- Romaine lettuce (1 heart, finely chopped)
- Ripe tomatoes (2, thinly sliced)
- Mayonnaise (1/4 cup)
- Sriracha or hot sauce (1 teaspoon)
- Dill pickle relish (1 tablespoon)
- Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Step 1: Cook the beef bacon until crisp, either in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven. Transfer the cooked beef bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease, then crumble or chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- Step 2: Prepare the Secret Sauce by combining the mayonnaise, sriracha, dill pickle relish, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Stir vigorously until all ingredients are well incorporated and the sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Step 3: Lightly warm the flour tortillas (30 seconds in the microwave or a quick flip in a dry skillet) to make them more pliable. Lay each warm tortilla flat on a clean surface.
- Step 4: Spread approximately 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of the Secret Sauce evenly across the center of each tortilla, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Step 5: Layer the BLT ingredients down the center of the sauced tortillas: start with a layer of chopped romaine lettuce, add the tomato slices, and finally, sprinkle the crumbled turkey bacon evenly over the top.
- Step 6: To wrap, fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then tightly roll the wrap from the bottom up. Slice the finished wraps diagonally in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- For optimum freshness, store the Secret Sauce in an airtight container for up to 3 days and store the chopped vegetables separately, assembling new wraps only when ready to eat.
- Pair these hearty, saucy wraps with a simple side of vinegar potato chips or a crunchy side salad to perfectly complement the richness of the turkey bacon and sauce.
- For the ideal BLT experience, make sure the turkey turkey bacon is cooked until aggressively crisp before crumbling; maximum crunch is key to preventing a soggy texture inside the wrap.
- As this is a fresh sandwich, it is not recommended to reheat a fully assembled wrap, as the vegetables will wilt and the tortilla will become rubbery.
