  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Broccoli florets: 1 pound
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster sauce: 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon
  • Water: 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Steam the broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes. You can also blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain.
  2. Step 2: While the broccoli is steaming, prepare the garlic sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Step 3: Heat the olive oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Step 4: Pour the garlic sauce into the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Add the steamed broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the garlic sauce.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store leftover broccoli in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, gently stir-fry the broccoli with a splash of water until warmed through, preventing it from drying out.
  • Serve this flavorful broccoli as a vibrant side dish alongside grilled chicken or tofu for a complete and healthy meal.
  • For an extra flavor boost, lightly toast the minced garlic in the olive oil for 30 seconds before adding the sauce ingredients.
