Delicious cherry amaretto tiramisu recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Ladyfingers: 24
  • Mascarpone cheese: 16 ounces
  • Heavy cream: 1 cup
  • Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Amaretto liqueur: 1/4 cup
  • Strong brewed coffee, cooled: 1 cup
  • Cherry preserves: 1/2 cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  2. Step 2: In a shallow dish, combine cooled coffee and Amaretto liqueur. Briefly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and arrange them in a single layer in the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Step 3: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers. Spoon cherry preserves over the mascarpone layer.
  4. Step 4: Arrange another layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers on top of the cherry preserves. Spread the remaining mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
  5. Step 5: Cover the tiramisu and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Step 6: Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu generously with unsweetened cocoa powder.

Notes

  • For best flavor, let the tiramisu chill overnight; this allows the coffee and amaretto to fully infuse the ladyfingers.
  • Store leftover tiramisu, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • A dollop of whipped cream and a fresh cherry make an elegant garnish.
  • If your cherry preserves are too thick, warm them slightly to make them easier to spread.
