Ingredients
- Ground chicken: 1 pound
- Wonton wrappers: 24
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Rice vinegar: 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil: 1 teaspoon
- Shredded cabbage: 2 cups
- Carrots, shredded: 1/2 cup
- Green onions, sliced: 1/4 cup
Instructions
- Step 1: In a skillet, brown the ground chicken over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Step 2: Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to the cooked chicken. Simmer for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Step 3: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange wonton wrappers on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden and crispy.
- Step 4: Combine shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions in a bowl. This is your slaw.
- Step 5: Fill each crispy wonton wrapper with the seasoned ground chicken and top with the slaw.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken filling and slaw separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for optimal freshness.
- For best results, reheat the chicken filling gently in a skillet to maintain its flavor and moisture.
- Garnish your Chicken Wonton Tacos with a drizzle of sriracha mayo or a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an extra touch.
- To prevent soggy wonton shells, assemble the tacos just before serving.
