Delicious creamy shrimp and crab pasta bake recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • Pasta (Penne, Rotini, or similar) 1 pound
  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) 1 pound
  • Crab Meat (fresh or canned) 8 ounces
  • Cream Cheese 4 ounces
  • Heavy Cream 1 cup
  • Parmesan Cheese (grated) 1/2 cup + 1/4 cup for topping
  • Garlic (minced) 2 cloves
  • Butter 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque (about 3-5 minutes). Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, reduce heat to low. Add cream cheese and heavy cream, whisking until smooth and melted. Stir in 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese until combined.
  4. Step 4: Add cooked pasta, cooked shrimp, and crab meat to the sauce. Gently toss to coat everything evenly.
  5. Step 5: Pour the pasta mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese over the top.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the pasta is bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but be aware the sauce may thicken upon cooling.
  • For best results, reheat individual portions in the microwave with a splash of milk or cream to restore the creamy consistency.
  • Garnish each serving with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or a lemon wedge for a bright, contrasting flavor.
  • Don't overcook the shrimp in the skillet, as it will continue to cook in the oven and you want it to remain tender.
