Delicious divine brown butter peach cobbler: 5-ingredient magic recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 45 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups)
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the oven.
  2. Step 2: While butter melts, peel and slice peaches. Toss sliced peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Step 3: Remove the baking dish from the oven (carefully, it will be hot!). Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the melted butter.
  4. Step 4: Pour the milk evenly over the cake mix. Do not stir.
  5. Step 5: Gently spoon the peach mixture evenly over the cake mix layer.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are tender and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftover cobbler, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain its texture.
  • Reheat individual servings in the microwave for 30-60 seconds, or until warmed through, for a quick and comforting treat.
  • Serve warm cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream to complement the brown butter and peach flavors.
  • For extra nutty flavor, let the melted butter brown slightly on the stovetop before transferring it to the baking dish.
