Ingredients
- Ground beef: 1 pound
- Panko bread crumbs: 1/2 cup
- Egg: 1 large
- Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
- Green onions, chopped: 2
- Soy sauce: 1/4 cup
- Brown sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, panko bread crumbs, egg, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Step 2: In a separate small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil to create the Korean BBQ sauce.
- Step 3: Gently roll the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Step 4: Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides.
- Step 5: Pour the Korean BBQ sauce over the meatballs in the skillet. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Notes
- Store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat the meatballs gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or broth to keep them moist.
- Serve these delicious meatballs over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and extra chopped green onions for a complete meal.
- Don't overmix the meatball mixture; gentle handling will keep them tender and juicy.
