Experience the holiday spirit! This margarita balances sharp cranberry, citrus, and herbal rosemary notes. Achieve the perfect frosted zest rim easily using our simple shaker method.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Blanco Lime Juice With Agave Nectar: 2 ounces
  • Fresh Lime Juice: 1 ounce
  • Orange Juice or Premium Orange Fruit Juice: 0.75 ounce
  • Rosemary Simple Syrup: 0.75 ounce
  • White Cranberry Juice (or regular cranberry juice): 1 ounce
  • Superfine Sugar and Lime Zest: 2 tablespoons (for the rim)
  • Ice: For shaking and serving
  • Fresh Cranberries and Rosemary Sprigs: For garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Combine the superfine sugar and lime zest on a small plate. Moisten the rim of a margarita or coupe glass with a lime wedge, then gently dip the rim into the sugar mixture to create the "frosted" edge.
  2. Step 2: Add the Blanco Cactus Water, fresh lime juice, Orange Extract, Rosemary Simple Syrup, and White Cranberry Juice into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Step 3: Fill the shaker completely with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is thoroughly frosted.
  4. Step 4: Fill the prepared frosted glass with fresh ice (if using a margarita glass, skip ice if using a coupe). Double strain the liquid mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass.
  5. Step 5: Garnish the finished cocktail with a cluster of three fresh cranberries skewered on a cocktail pick, along with a small sprig of fresh rosemary placed near the rim to resemble mistletoe.

Notes

  • For easy entertaining, prepare a large batch of the non-alcoholic juices and rosemary syrup mixer up to 48 hours ahead and store chilled, adding the Blanco and ice only when ready to shake and serve.
  • To achieve the perfect "frosted" shaker exterior and an optimally chilled drink, always ensure your shaker is completely packed with fresh, dense ice, and shake vigorously for the full 20 seconds.
  • Enhance the festive presentation by using a high-quality coupe glass rather than a standard margarita glass; this prevents unnecessary post-shake dilution and beautifully showcases the frosted rim and garnish.
  • For the freshest flavor, always use homemade rosemary simple syrup, but if substituting regular cranberry juice for the white variety, add an extra dash of syrup to properly balance the additional tartness.
