Delicious frozen peanut butter greek yogurt bites dipped in dark chocolate with sea salt recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • Plain Greek Yogurt 2 cups
  • Creamy Peanut Butter 1/2 cup
  • Honey 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
  • Dark Chocolate Chips 1 cup
  • Coconut Oil 1 teaspoon
  • Sea Salt Flakes to taste
  • Parchment Paper as needed

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Step 2: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon or pipe small dollops of the yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Aim for bite-sized portions, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Step 3: Freeze the yogurt bites for at least 2 hours, or until completely frozen solid. This is important to prevent melting during the chocolate dipping process.
  4. Step 4: While the yogurt bites are freezing, prepare the chocolate coating. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  5. Step 5: Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer. Dip each bite into the melted dark chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Place the dipped bites back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Step 6: Immediately sprinkle the dipped bites with sea salt flakes. Return the baking sheet to the freezer for another 10-15 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

  • Store these in a freezer-safe container for up to a month, separating layers with parchment to prevent sticking.
  • There's no need to reheat, just grab them straight from the freezer for a refreshing treat.
  • Serve these as a cool and satisfying dessert or a protein-packed snack after a workout.
  • For easier dipping, refreeze the bites briefly after the initial freeze to ensure they are extra firm.
