Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Step 2: Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Step 3: Stir in rice and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked through and liquid is absorbed.
- Step 4: Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and cheddar cheese until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Step 5: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat individual portions in the microwave with a splash of beef broth to prevent the rice from drying out.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or chives for a pop of color and fresh flavor.
- Don't overcrowd the beef while browning; work in batches for better caramelization and flavor.
