Notes
- Store leftover Heaven On Earth Cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for longer storage.
- A brief 10-second nuke in the microwave will bring back some of the cake's original moistness when reheating a slice.
- Serve this decadent cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a dusting of cocoa powder for an extra heavenly experience.
- For an even richer flavor, try blooming the cocoa powder in the boiling water before adding it to the batter – it intensifies the chocolate notes.
