Tangy honey-Dijon coats juicy rotisserie chicken, delivering a complex filling for these sweet Hawaiian sliders. Ready in minutes, topped with savory, crunchy beef beef bacon.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 count sweet Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 6 slices beef bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, and Dijon mustard until the sauce is smooth and thoroughly combined. Set aside.
  2. Step 2: Toss the Chicken. Add the shredded rotisserie chicken to the bowl with the honey mustard sauce. Toss the chicken gently until all the pieces are evenly coated with the sauce.
  3. Step 3: Prepare and Warm the Rolls (Optional). Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Separate the slider rolls and lightly toast the cut sides of the buns for 2-3 minutes, or warm the entire assembled slider set for 5 minutes later for a gooey effect.
  4. Step 4: Assemble the Sliders. Place a generous spoonful (about 1/4 cup) of the honey mustard chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each slider roll.
  5. Step 5: Layer the BLT Toppings. Top the chicken mixture with one or two slices of tomato, a sprinkle of crumbled turkey bacon, and a small amount of shredded romaine lettuce. Place the top bun onto the slider and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Store the honey mustard chicken filling separately in an airtight container for up to 3 days; assemble the sliders only right before serving to keep the buns and veggies crisp.
  • If the assembled sliders have been chilled, they are best enjoyed cold; for a warmer option, lightly toast the empty buns before assembling with the chilled filling.
  • These flavorful sliders pair perfectly with a side of homemade sweet potato fries or a simple vinegar-based coleslaw to balance the richness of the honey mustard sauce.
  • For maximum flavor and texture contrast, prepare the beef beef bacon ahead of time and chill it completely; this ensures the beef bacon crumbles maintain their crispy snap against the soft sauce and bun.
