Delicious knock you naked bars recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (14.35 ounces) graham crackers
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to easily lift the bars out later.
  2. Step 2: Arrange graham crackers in a single layer to completely cover the bottom of the prepared pan. You may need to break some crackers to fit.
  3. Step 3: In a bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Pour this mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  4. Step 4: Sprinkle the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips evenly over the butter/sugar mixture, then sprinkle with the chopped nuts, if using.
  5. Step 5: Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the chips and nuts.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly. Let cool completely before lifting the bars out using the parchment paper overhang and cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Store cooled bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for longer storage.
  • A quick 10-second microwave zap can revive slightly stale bars, making them warm and gooey again.
  • Serve these decadently rich bars chilled or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
  • To ensure the graham cracker base doesn't get soggy, lightly toast the graham crackers in the oven for 5 minutes before assembling the bars.
