Delicious the best apple cider donut loaf for fall baking recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour: 2 1/2 cups
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Baking soda: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Unsalted butter, softened: 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • Granulated sugar: 1 cup
  • Brown sugar, packed: 1/2 cup
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Apple cider: 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Step 4: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the apple cider, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Step 5: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  6. Step 6: Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • To keep the loaf moist, store it tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Warm a slice in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to enhance the apple cider donut flavor.
  • Serve slices with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar for an extra-festive treat.
  • For a richer, more intense apple flavor, simmer the cider down to 1/2 cup before adding it to the batter.
