  • 2 slices bread
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 23 slices tomato
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Optional: lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Lightly toast the bread slices.
  2. Step 2: In a small bowl, mash half of the sliced avocado with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Step 3: Spread the mashed avocado mixture on one slice of bread.
  4. Step 4: Spread mayonnaise on the other slice of bread.
  5. Step 5: Arrange the remaining avocado slices and tomato slices on top of the avocado spread. Add lettuce leaves, if desired.
  6. Step 6: Place the mayonnaise-covered bread slice on top of the tomatoes to form the sandwich. Cut in half and serve.

Notes

  • For best flavor, assemble the sandwich just before serving to prevent the bread from getting soggy.
