- Turkey bacon: 8 slices
- Brown sugar: 1/4 cup, packed
- Paprika: 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Step 3: Wrap each chicken breast with two slices of turkey bacon, securing with toothpicks if needed.
- Step 4: Brush each bacon-wrapped chicken breast with olive oil and then generously sprinkle with the brown sugar mixture.
- Step 5: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Step 6: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Remove toothpicks before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best reheating, warm the chicken in a skillet over medium-low heat to keep the bacon crispy and prevent drying out.
- Serve this sweet and savory chicken with roasted vegetables or a simple side salad for a complete meal.
- To avoid soggy bacon, pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels before wrapping them.
