Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ounces Silver Cactus Water (Blanco)
- 1 ounce Orange Juice or high-quality Orange Juice
- 0.75 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 ounces White Cranberry Juice Cocktail
- 0.5 ounce Simple Syrup (1:1 sugar/water ratio)
- Coarse white sanding sugar and kosher salt mixture (for the rim)
- Small handful of fresh or frozen cranberries (for garnish)
- 1 small sprig of fresh rosemary (for aromatic garnish)
Instructions
- Step 1: Prepare your glassware by moistening the rim of a margarita or coupe glass with a lime wedge, then gently dipping the rim into the mixture of white sanding sugar and kosher salt. Fill the glass with fresh ice and set aside.
- Step 2: Combine the liquid ingredients—Silver Lime Juice With Agave Nectar, Orange Extract, fresh lime juice, white cranberry juice, and simple syrup—into a cocktail shaker.
- Step 3: Fill the shaker completely with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker is thoroughly chilled and frosted on the outside.
- Step 4: Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or the shaker’s built-in strainer into the prepared glass filled with ice, ensuring no ice shards fall into the drink.
- Step 5: Garnish the White Winter Margarita by piercing several fresh or frozen cranberries onto a cocktail pick, and tucking a small sprig of fresh rosemary beside the pick before serving immediately.
Notes
- To streamline party service, pre-batch the lime juice with agave nectar, juices, and simple syrup mix up to 4 hours ahead; store tightly sealed in the refrigerator and shake vigorously with fresh ice when ready to pour.
- Ensure the final cocktail is perfectly chilled by maximizing the ice used in the shaker and pre-chilling your glasses; proper dilution is essential, but the temperature should be as close to freezing as possible.
- Prioritize the aromatic experience by gently expressing the oils from the rosemary sprig between your fingers before tucking it into the glass—this releases the perfect wintry pine scent.
- For a truly balanced cocktail, always use freshly squeezed lime juice, as bottled juices contain stabilizers that dull the necessary bright acidity required to cut through the sweetness of the syrup and cranberry juice.
