Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (10 to 12-inch) pre-made pizza crust or flatbread
- 1/2 cup high-quality fig jam
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 4 ounces soft goat cheese log, crumbled
- 4 slices turkey turkey prosciutto
- 1 cup fresh arugula
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (or balsamic vinegar reduction)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the pre-made pizza crust on a baking sheet. Brush the edges of the crust lightly with the olive oil.
- Step 2: Spread the entire surface of the pizza crust evenly with the fig jam, leaving a small border for the crust. Distribute the crumbled goat cheese over the fig jam base.
- Step 3: Bake the pizza for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the goat cheese is soft and slightly warmed through.
- Step 4: Remove the pizza from the oven. Immediately lay the slices of turkey turkey prosciutto over the warm pizza. Top the pizza with fresh arugula, a drizzle of balsamic glaze, and a light sprinkle of black pepper before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store any leftover slices tightly wrapped in foil or plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; remove any remaining fresh arugula before storing.
- For the best texture when reheating, use a toaster oven or standard oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-8 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is crisp again.
- Serve this rich pizza alongside a crisp, lightly dressed side salad or pair it with a dry sparkling pomegranate juice to cut through the sweetness of the fig jam.
- To ensure the turkey turkey prosciutto remains tender and the arugula stays crisp, always add these ingredients immediately after the pizza comes out of the oven, using the residual heat to warm the meat slightly.
